Aside from exercising at home, here are some ideas to help you stay in good shape.
I go once or twice a week to a local gym, CFPR Functional Fitness (7601 Greenwood Ave N.). The reason I go to this gym is that I'm an 86 years old who is prone to injury, and they have an "Elevate" program geared toward seniors. The trainers take care to modify workouts for any limitations you have and minimize risk of injury. The program is paced so that you get a workout but don't overdo it. More info below. -- Bill

The are many types of dancing but one in particular that is lively and fun is African Dancing, a tradition spanning countless centuries.
Fortunately, we have an African dance studio right here in Fremont. It's called Wassa Dance.
African Dancing in FremontLara, the instructor, believes that as we breathe, we are already dancing.
Wassa Dance is designed around basic root movements and simple choreography. The intent is for people move and breathe together while enjoying their own individual experience.
On a spectrum between traditional African dance classes and ecstatic world beat offerings, Wassa Dance is unique in inviting dancers to bring their own individuality to basic and structured moves.
There is also an element of movement craft/technique involved as students find deep, rich involvement with the music and the moves. Ages range from teens to septuagenarians. Everyone is welcome.
Come dance with a cross-culturally rich mix of some of Seattle’s finest percussion musicians and Wassa’s joyful moves.
