"Greenwood Men Grow Old Together" Song
Can you believe it?? The Greenwood men's group has created its own really cool theme song, thanks in particular to Alan's talents and his group of AI assistants.
We have several versions of our song. Here are
two of them:
The Song Lyrics
Intro
- "Funny how the years roll on... but good friends make
every mile easier."
Verse 1
- We take that morning walk together
- Down a trail we've come to trust
- Talking 'bout a world that's shifting
- And the dreams still
left in us
- And somehow all the heavy things
- Feel lighter on the shoulder
- When you've got someone there with you
- Who warms the days when they get colder
Chorus
- Greenwood Men grow old together
- With timeless dreams that never end
- And every day gets a little better
- Because we share them all with friends
Verse 2
- We still play the games we're able
- Even if we're not as spry
- Pickleball on Monday afternoons
- Among the many things we try
- We smile at all our glory days
- Our pride still lingers strong
- We've made decisions we're standing by
- We've been right more times than wrong
Chorus
- Greenwood Men grow old together
- With timeless dreams that never end
- And every day gets a little better
- Because we share them all with friends
Bridge
- We talk about the young ones
- And the world they're stepping through
- Hoping they find some steady ground
- And some meaning to which they're true
- Life can be both cruel and kind
- We learn to bend and blend
- And the best thing we were given
- Is the love we call our friends
Verse 3
- There's still new roads to wander
- Still a sunrise worth the view
- Still a booth down at the diner
- Where we plan what's next to do
- Life keeps shifting, life keeps moving
- Each heart beats until the end
- And it all feels so much sweeter
- When you're living it with friends
Final Chorus
- Greenwood Men grow old together
- With timeless dreams that never end
- And every day gets a little better
- Because we share them all with friends
- Greenwood Men grow old together
- With timeless dreams that never end
- And every day gets a little better
- Because we share them all with friends
