Artist

by Roger Willsie
(Seattle )

I paint in oils. Currently a hobby after once being a not very thriving business. But with the outer appearance of a going business with a studio in the Tashero Kaplan building in Pioneer Square. For a number of years I participated in the monthly art walk offering my paintings for sale. I, along with a number of other artist wannabes met weekly with a professional artist in Pioneer Square to paint and kibbutz about art. I started on this art journey when I retired from a career in mental health and was attracted to a watercolor class at North Seattle Community College. After working in watercolor for several years I thought I would try oils and got hooked on this medium. I currently have a small studio in my garage where I paint when I’m motivated. I have a website with paintings for sale. Rogerwillsieart.com.
